the Land Officer has drawn my attention to the fact that

this matter has not yet been submitted for Your Lordship's

covering authority.

Meanwhile, on the 6th. of last

January, the Director of Public Works wrote to the Secreta-

-ry of the Land Reclamation Company requesting him to pay

into the Treasury within 3 days the sum of $4,000 in

accordance with clause 8 of the conditions of sale, and the

Treasurer reported on the following day that the amount

had been paid.

In these circumstances I have the

honour to request Your Lordship's approval of the condition

that the lease should be renewable for a further term of

75 years from the 18th. September, 1974, and I have

directed that the Crown Lease should not be issued until

Your Lordship's sanction has been obtained.
